Jenna Fischer's most recognizable character is Pam Beesly in the highly popular television show The Office. The actress won the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in the comedy's ensemble.
Her family was based on the streets of St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne performed in church plays. Her love for performance and theater was instilled at a very teenager.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. She was a part of the Off-Broadway show Reasons to be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. At the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's hilarious comedy Meteor Shower.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey launched a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since gained immense popularity, settling within the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads within its first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She has written two books: The Actor's Life A Survival Guide that outlines her experience in Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best friendships they enjoyed as well as their experience in The Office.
